Abdel-Hadi Al-Hwaij, the Foreign Minister of Libya’s Interim Government, confirmed that the Libyan Parliament’s initiative, proposed by Speaker Ageela Saleh was Libyan-led, and in line with the Berlin Conference’s outputs.

In statements to ‘Al-Arabiya Al-Hadath’ TV, Al-Hwaij stressed that Libya would remain a sovereign and lawful country. He also stressed that “Al-Sarraj’s government no longer has any legitimacy”, and that his government will not allow Turkish bases to be set up in Libya.
