Libya’s Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Hwaij, inaugurated the sixth edition of the Libya Food Expo on Sunday at the Tripoli International Fairgrounds.
The opening ceremony was attended by Essam Al-Aoul, Chairman of the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences, Mohamed Al-Raied, Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs and Agriculture, and Shukri Al-Taif, Deputy Director of the Tripoli International Fair. Ambassadors, diplomats, and business leaders were also present.
This year, the expo sees strong international participation, with companies from Italy, France, Turkey, the UAE, Tunisia, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Malta, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, India, Vietnam, Russia, Morocco, Germany, and Thailand.
The event features more than 130 international companies and 91 local businesses specialising in food production, packaging, and factory equipment.
Running until Wednesday, the Libya Food Expo 2025 offers a unique opportunity to showcase innovative products, explore the latest technologies, and strengthen cooperation between local and international firms. The event is a significant boost to Libya’s food sector, fostering investment and partnerships.
