UAE-Jordan FMs Discuss Libya’s Crisis and Bilateral Relations

On Thursday, the Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, held a telephone conversation with his Emirati counterpart, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. They discussed the latest developments in Libya’s crisis, as well as ways of enhancing bilateral relations in various fields.

During the talks, the two stressed the importance of reaching a political settlement in Libya, in order to restore stability, and undermine the impact of extremist groups in the country. The Emirati FM also highlighted the historic and strategic ties between Jordan and UAE, and the keenness to further develop cooperation in all fields.

Notably, Abdullah bin Zayed recently hailed Egypt’s efforts in Libya, and discussed with the Egyptian FM, Sameh Shoukry, ways to settle the crisis.
