The Correction of the Path movement in Zawiya has announced plans to hold a protest this evening, Tuesday, to express its rejection of any attempts to resettle migrants in Libya. The movement made it clear that it strongly opposes what it describes as foreign agendas being imposed on the city.

In an official statement, the movement stressed that the people of Zawiya will not allow any plans aimed at changing the demographic structure of their city. It accused the government of playing recklessly with Zawiya’s future and attempting to silence dissenting voices.

“The people of Zawiya refuse to remain silent while the government continues its mismanagement,” the statement declared. The movement also warned against hidden efforts to obstruct elections and enforce policies that serve private interests rather than the nation.

Organisers of the planned protest have urged residents to gather in the city centre this evening, holding banners rejecting the government’s handling of migration issues and any resettlement proposals. They believe these moves threaten the stability and social fabric of the region.

The Correction of the Path movement stressed that now is the time for Zawiya’s residents to reclaim control over their future. “The time has come for the people of Zawiya to take back their city. There will be no place for the submissive or the corrupt,” the statement concluded.

This announcement comes amid rising public frustration in Zawiya and other parts of Libya over migration issues, government performance, and delays in holding national elections.
