The Desert Patrols Office of the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency in Al Jabal al Akhdar has successfully detained 143 illegal migrants within its jurisdiction.
This operation is part of the security plan overseen by the Al Jabal al Akhdar Security Directorate during the holy month of Ramadan.
In an official statement, the agency detailed that the detainees included 77 Egyptian nationals, 26 Sudanese, 13 Syrians, 18 Chadians, and 9 Bangladeshis.
According to Major General Salah al-Khafifi, head of the agency, all detainees have been transferred to the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency branch in Al Bayda to undergo necessary legal proceedings.
This action is among the efforts by security authorities to combat illegal immigration and enhance security and stability in the region, in coordination with various relevant entities.
