The Libyan National Development Authority has celebrated the graduation of a new group of Libyan students who completed a specialised training programme in Aeronautical Information Services (AIS) at UNITED ATS Academy in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The trainees were selected to support operations at Sirte Gulf International Airport, with the programme implemented under the directives of the General Command. The initiative is part of a strategic plan led by the Authority to build national capacity across vital sectors, particularly civil aviation, to address technical shortages and enhance institutional performance.

The graduation ceremony took place on Thursday at the academy’s Cairo headquarters, attended by an official delegation from the Authority, including the Legal Advisor and General Training Supervisor, as well as the Director General of Sirte Gulf Airport and a representative from the Civil Aviation Authority in Benghazi.

In closing remarks, the National Development Authority reaffirmed its commitment to continuing international training programmes in aviation and other fields, emphasising its belief in human capital investment as a key pillar of sustainable development in Libya.
