Field Marshal Khalifa Abu Al-Qasim Haftar, Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army (LNA), has held a high-level meeting to review the latest developments in the case of House of Representatives member Ibrahim Al-Drisi.

The meeting, which took place at the LNA’s General Command headquarters, was attended by Major General Osama Al-Drisi, Head of Libya’s Internal Security Agency.

According to a statement from the LNA, the session focused on ongoing investigations and recent updates regarding MP Ibrahim Al-Drisi’s situation, which has sparked significant public interest.

During the meeting, Haftar issued strict directives, emphasising the need for firm and transparent handling of the case. He also called for speedy completion of the investigations and a full disclosure of all facts and circumstances surrounding the matter.

“Truth and justice must prevail,” Haftar said, reaffirming his commitment to due process.

The LNA Commander also praised the efforts of Libya’s Attorney General, noting his “continuous work” in overseeing the case and ensuring legal accountability.

Haftar stressed the importance of full coordination between judicial and security institutions to expedite the process and uphold the rule of law.

The case of MP Ibrahim Al-Drisi remains under active investigation, as Libyan authorities face growing calls for transparency and justice.
