Al-Nadhouri Orders Security and Military Authorities to Arrest Companies Importing Medical Supplies for Coronavirus

The Chief of the General Staff and Chairman of the Supreme Committee to Combat Coronavirus, Lieutenant General Abdel-Razek Al-Nadhouri, addressed a letter to the director of the Military Intelligence Department, the Head of the Internal Security Agency, and the Director of Benghazi Security, to arrest those involved in authorizing medical companies to combat the coronavirus epidemic.

Al-Nadhouri, in his letters, called on the aforementioned authorities to investigate and seize the commissioners of 18 companies importing medical equipment and supplies to face the coronavirus epidemic in no more than 24 hours.

On Tuesday, the media centre of the General Staff of the Armed Forces announced, that the Supreme Committee to Combat Coronavirus started to study contracts for the supply of medical equipment and supplies related to confronting the epidemic. It will contract materials’ inventory and match them with what was supplied, as well as refer any fraud to the investigation in an expedited manner.
