The Military Prosecutor’s Office, part of the Ministry of Defence of the Government of National Accord (GNA), issued a decision banning the travel of seven individuals. Most importantly, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health.
This decision comes due to the ongoing investigations related to financial abuse and wasting of public money in the military medical system.
The text of the decision was signed by the Director of the Partial Military Prosecution in Tripoli, Ayoub Al-Ajili Ambach. He called for the seven individuals on the list, to be banned from traveling abroad, and for the confiscation of their passports.
The decision was directed to the Passports, Nationality, and Foreigners Affairs Department.
Individuals banned from travel are:
1- Muhammad Haitham Issa Essid, former Chairman of the Military Medicine Authority, and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health
2- Major General, Omar Al-Basir Milad Howeidi, Director General of the Military Medicine Authority.
3- Muhammad Hussein Salem, Director of the Projects Department at the Military Medicine Authority.
4- Ammar Mansour Al-Thaleb, Financial Supervisor, Military Medicine Authority.
5- Abdel-Hakim Salem Attia, a supervising engineer at the Projects Department at the Military Medicine Authority.
6- Yunus Muhammad Al-Musalam, a supervising engineer at the Project Management Department, at the Military Medicine Authority.
7- Anan Al-Bashti, Supervisor Engineer, Project Management, Military Medicine Authority.
