Libya’s U-19 national volleyball team has secured a place in the semi-finals of the Arab Junior Volleyball Championship currently being held in Jordan, following an emphatic 3–0 victory over Iraq.

The win marked another strong performance from the Libyan squad, which has impressed throughout the tournament with its discipline, technical skill, and determination. Against Iraq, the team dominated across all three sets, leaving little chance for their opponents to respond and underlining their readiness to challenge for the title.

The result earned Libya wide praise from supporters and observers, who hailed the team’s rise as one of the most exciting stories of the championship. For many fans, the victory represents more than just a sporting achievement—it reflects the resilience and talent of Libya’s younger generation in representing their country on the Arab stage.

The coaching staff expressed pride in the players’ performance and extended thanks to the Libyan public for its continuous encouragement. They stressed that the team’s goal remains to compete for the championship and to raise Libya’s flag high in Jordan. “The support from home gives us strength,” one official said, promising that the squad would give everything to reach the final.

Libya’s advancement to the semi-finals is also seen as a milestone for youth sports in the country, demonstrating that Libyan athletes are increasingly competitive at regional levels despite the challenges facing sports development domestically.
