Libyan Prime Minister Osama Hammad, accompanied by Belgasem Haftar, Director General of the Fund for the Development and Reconstruction of Libya, conducted an inspection tour of Al-Jalaa Teaching Hospital for Surgery and Accidents, as well as the Children’s Hospital in Benghazi.

During the visit, the Prime Minister and the Fund’s Director General met with hospital officials and reviewed the ongoing maintenance and development projects. These works are being implemented under the Fund’s nationwide program to rehabilitate Libya’s health infrastructure.

Prime Minister Hammad reaffirmed his government’s commitment to providing all necessary resources to improve healthcare services and ensure better medical care for citizens.

For his part, Belgasem Haftar emphasized that the Fund has already launched a comprehensive plan for the rehabilitation and full renovation of hospitals across the country. He stressed that restoring these facilities to full capacity is a strategic priority, given their critical role in serving the Libyan population.

The inspection highlights Benghazi’s growing role as a hub for healthcare reconstruction efforts, amid broader national initiatives to modernize essential services across Libya.
