On Tuesday the Interior Minister of Libya’s Government of National Accord (GNA), Fathi Bashagha, met with French officials in Paris to discuss ways of developing a civil defense system and the construction of field hospitals to respond to natural disasters.

The Minister listened to the officials’ explanation on how to deploy civil protection equipment for emergency response, disaster management and environmental protection.

The Minister will hold several similar meetings in the forthcoming days in Paris. The meetings aim to modernise and advance Libya’s Ministry of Interior in several areas, including the National Safety Authority.
