Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, Commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA), delivered a speech during the inauguration of new infrastructure and development projects in the city of Ajdabiya.
The event marked the opening of several bridges and public service facilities, representing a new phase of reconstruction in the region.
Haftar praised the residents, elders, dignitaries, and local leaders of Ajdabiya for their resilience and patriotism. He also commended the Development and Reconstruction Fund for its consistent and quiet efforts to translate national ambitions into tangible progress on the ground.
He spoke of those who have fulfilled their responsibilities with integrity, honoring time and duty through visible accomplishments. “They raced against time, fought backwardness through action, and chose silent work over empty words,” Haftar said, describing the visible development as a message of strength that “defies those who doubt and resent.”
Haftar affirmed that the “Dignity (Al Karama) Revolution” continues its path toward a unified, secure, and sovereign Libya, a nation built on stability, self-determination, and national pride. He expressed confidence that the Libyan people will remain the masters of their own future.
Ajdabiya’s progress was highlighted as a model of what is possible across Libya. Haftar pointed to newly built schools, modern hospitals, road networks, bridges, parks, and public spaces—projects completed at a rapid pace and to high standards.
He congratulated the city on its achievements and assured its people that these are just the beginning. More development, he said, is on the way. “This is only a small part of what’s coming, and the reconstruction caravan will keep moving from one city to the next,” he declared.
Haftar concluded by honoring the memory of the fallen, praising Ajdabiya’s role in defending Libya, and praying for continued unity, progress, and success on the road ahead.
