The eastern-based Interim Government’s Prime Minister, Abdullah Al-Thinni, held a meeting with the Chief of the General Staff and Chairman of the Supreme Committee to Combat Coronavirus, Lieutenant General Abdel-Razek Al-Nathouri.

During the meeting, Al-Thinni discussed the epidemiological situation of the pandemic in various cities and regions of the country and covered the most prominent needs and shortcomings of the isolation and medical quarantine centres. Al-Thinni and Al-Nathouri also spoke of opening the way for contact with relevant international organisations to provide operators for COVID-19 laboratories.

The meeting touched on the strategic stock of the Ministry of Health’s medical supplies to confront the epidemic. The two officials also stressed the need to impose a curfew and prevent movement between cities to control the spread of the virus.
