Three new medical screening centers have officially opened in Benghazi, aimed at issuing health certificates for both citizens and foreign residents, as part of efforts to strengthen public health services and national health security.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Emmar Libya Holding Company Chairman Abdelhamid Moussa Al-Zawawi, along with several chairpersons of affiliated companies, and a representative of the Libyan Red Crescent.

The launch of the centers comes within the framework of joint cooperation between Emmar Libya Holding Company and the Libyan Red Crescent, in line with agreements signed between the two sides. The initiative is designed to support the public health system, reinforce national health security, and help limit the spread of infectious diseases through regulated medical screening procedures.

Speaking at the event, Al-Zawawi underlined the company’s commitment to the healthcare sector, highlighting ongoing efforts to upgrade technical services within medical laboratories. He said these improvements are intended to enhance the quality of healthcare services and contribute to the protection of public health.

The newly opened facilities are expected to play a key role in improving access to certified medical examinations, while supporting preventive health measures in Benghazi and the wider region.
