Lawyer Khaled Al-Zaidi, legal counsel for Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, has announced the launch of an international online portal to collect information and reports related to the assassination of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi earlier this year.

The platform, he said, is part of a broader legal effort to uncover the full circumstances of the incident and identify those responsible.

Al-Zaidi explained that an international legal team composed of lawyers and investigators specializing in international criminal law is overseeing the initiative. The portal is designed to receive testimonies, documents, digital evidence, and any relevant material that could contribute to clarifying the sequence of events surrounding the attack. Submissions will undergo professional review and verification within a structured legal process to ensure credibility and evidentiary value.

He stressed that all information and personal data provided through the portal will be treated with strict confidentiality. According to the legal team, advanced data protection measures have been implemented in line with international standards to safeguard the identity and security of individuals who choose to submit information.

Saif al-Islam Gaddafi was killed on February 3 at his residence in the city of Zintan after unidentified armed men reportedly stormed the property.

Preliminary accounts indicated that surveillance cameras were disabled before the assailants entered. He sustained gunshot wounds that led to his death. No group has publicly claimed responsibility for the attack.

As of now, the Office of the Attorney General has not issued a detailed statement outlining the results of any official investigation or naming suspects in the case. The absence of formal findings has fueled continued speculation and public debate.

Al-Zaidi said the purpose of the portal is to ensure that all possible evidence is gathered through transparent and lawful means. He added that the legal team remains committed to pursuing accountability through appropriate judicial channels, emphasizing that a thorough and independent investigation is essential to establishing the truth and delivering justice.
