The Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced that starting Monday, October 26, it would lift force majeure on all oil fields and ports.

According to NOC’s statement, instructions have been given to the operator Mellitah Company to start production from the Al-Feel oil field. This will gradually return Mellitah crude to its normal levels in the coming days.

NOC Chairman Mustafa Sanalla has stated that the Libyan people understood that the blockade had an extremely negative impact their daily lives. They strongly support the resumption of production.

Sanalla highlighted the importance of controlling the media discourse related to production. He stressed that the only reliable source to announce the expected production quantities was the NOC’s production department.

“Oil production is carried out in line with the arrangements in the Joint Ministerial Committee for Monitoring Oil Production in OPEC and OPEC Plus”, he said.
