Libyan Parliament Speaker Discusses Crisis with EU Ambassador in Malta

On Friday, the Speaker of the Libyan Parliament, Ageela Saleh, discussed the issue of illegal immigration and countering terrorism, during his meeting with the ambassadors of the European Union in Malta.

The meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs in the Maltese capital, Valletta.

Saleh exchanged views on the Libyan crisis with the ambassadors from countries belonging to the European Union and reviewed the Parliament’s vision to solve the crisis.

During the meeting, he also discussed the file of reinvestment in Libya.

Earlier Friday, Saleh, received a telephone call from the British Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa, James Cleverly. The two sides discussed the latest developments in the Libyan crisis.

During the call, Cleverly expressed his welcome of the recently signed ceasefire agreement reached by the rival Libyan parties. He pointed out the need to continue work in order to achieve a comprehensive peace settlement in Libya.
