This came following the decision of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) to adopt a selection mechanism for an interim executive authority on 19 January.

Following the end of the nomination period, UNSMIL will convene the LPDF in Switzerland for the voting process from 1-5 February 2021. UNSMIL expresses its gratitude and appreciation to the Government of Switzerland for agreeing to host the forum.
