On Wednesday, the Libyan National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) denied rumors circulating on social media platforms concerning the recovery of the first Covid-19 diagnosed patient.

In a statement, the NCDC said that the patient’s health condition is stable and he is currently receiving treatment in Al-Hadaba General Hospital in Tripoli, adding that all reports, that claim his recovery from the deadly virus, are untrue.

The NCDC pointed out that they will announce the recovery of patients and any other information regarding the state of Covid-19 in Libya.

Earlier today, the NCDC announced two more patients have been diagnosed with Covid-19, bringing the total number of people infected with the virus to 10 across Libya.

On March 29, the NCDC announced eight new cases of coronavirus, adding that these new patients were in contact with other cases previously confirmed in Misrata.
