A number of human rights activists from Libya and Syria are preparing a documented file described as “the crimes of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Prime Minister of the Government of National Accord (GNA) Fayez Al-Sarraj in Libya”.
The file will be used as case evidence to prosecute them before the International Criminal Court (ICC).
The lawsuit is based on alleged violations committed by Turkey in Syria.
These include its links to fighters and extremists, recruitment of child soldiers and support for the GNA by providing it foreign fighters from Syria in it’s fight against the Libyan National Army (LNA).
Many states have denounced Turkey’s intervention in Libya, worried by Ankara’s growing influence in the oil rich nation.
