Tunisia’s Foreign Minister, Noureddine Erray, revealed that his country has prepared proposals and initiatives on the Libyan crisis for submission to the UN Security Council.
In media statements on Thursday, Erray confirmed that a Security Council meeting is going to discuss the Libyan file, explaining that his country seeks to make all efforts possible to find a permanent Libyan-Libyan political solution, away from external interference, in order to preserve the unity and security of the people of Libya, which Tunisia considers to be part of its national security.
Erray stressed that the Libyan issue is a priority for the President, the Republic and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tunisia for several considerations, the most important of which are strategic relations with Libya, historical connections and Tunisia’s cultural and economic interests.
