France Backs Cairo Declaration to End Libyan Crisis

The Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives (HOR), Ageela Saleh, received a phone call from French Ambassador to Libya Beatrice de Helene.

The two discussed the latest developments in Libya and the region.

De Helene confirmed France’s support for Egypt’s efforts to bring an end to the crisis, according to a statement by HoR spokesman, Abdullah Bleihaq.

The two stressed the need for a ceasefire and an end to the flow of arms and mercenaries to Libya.

They also discussed the establishment of mechanisms to ensure equitable distribution of wealth among the population.
