Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army (LNA), praised the “Karama Shield” military exercise held in southern Sirte, attended by Libyan Prime Minister Osama Hamad and military leaders.
In his speech, Haftar highlighted the armed forces’ ongoing efforts to ensure readiness and defensive capabilities, stressing the National Army’s vital role in protecting the nation.
He declared the National Army as the strong barrier defending Libya, attributing its development to its hard working soldiers, the high sense of responsibility of its leaders, and popular support.
Haftar affirmed the armed forces’ commitment to defending all Libyans and the country’s territory, warning against threats and emphasizing that the army’s dedication is solely to God and the homeland.
He urged swift resolution of the political deadlock for Libya’s peace and security, cautioning spoilers that obstructing progress will lead to extremely unfavourable results for them.
