Fathi Al-Mariami, the media adviser to Ageela Saleh, the Speaker of the Libyan Parliament confirmed that Saleh’s recent visits to Morocco and Jordan, come within the framework of the Arab mobilisation. This is in order to solve the political crisis in the country and end the Turkish intervention.

In statements to ‘Al Arabiya’, Al-Mariami said that Saleh had travelled to Rabat at the invitation of the Moroccan authorities, to discuss the conflict, and his political initiative. The Speaker also discussed the ‘Cairo Declaration’ and the Berlin Conference’s outputs, pointing out that he considers these outputs a starting point for launching dialogue between Libyans and reaching a peaceful solution.

He revealed that during his two visits, Saleh argued against the Turkish intervention, the flow of mercenaries, and weapons as well as the violation of the country’s sovereignty. Adding that these visits aim to result in a unified Arab position to help Libya out of the crisis, expel the interventionists, and preserve the country’s security and stability.

Al-Mariami stressed that Saleh’s visits are to reach a political solution, supported by the world and achieve the unity and sovereignty of Libya, the protection of its people, as well as ending the instability in the country.
