Egypt Hosts Libyan Trainees in Cybersecurity Development Program

The fifth cohort of job seekers from the Libyan city of Derna has arrived in Egypt as part of the “Libyan Workforce Development in Cybersecurity” initiative. The program, closely supervised by Libya’s Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sharif Arhouma, aims to equip young professionals with specialized skills in cybersecurity.

The delegation landed at Cairo International Airport on Sunday morning, receiving an official welcome from the administrative team and staff at “Omall Masr” (Egyptian Workers Complex). Officials praised the initiative and expressed their commitment to supporting the Libyan trainees.

Haitham Hussein, Chairman of Omall Masr, reaffirmed the institution’s dedication to providing a comprehensive training program under the guidance of top cybersecurity and IT experts. The program is designed to equip participants with practical, market-driven skills that align with the latest industry demands.

This training session is part of the broader bilateral cooperation agreement between Libya’s Ministry of Labor and Omall Masr. The intensive training program officially begins today with its first lecture.

The initiative is a key component of the “Libyan Workforce Development Initiative,” launched by the Ministry of Labor to train 25,000 job seekers inside Libya and 1,000 abroad across various professions and disciplines in multiple phases.
