In an official statement, the government emphasized the importance of keeping rescue and emergency teams on high alert to promptly respond to any further developments or emergencies.
The government noted that it is closely monitoring reports circulating on social media platforms and expressed profound concern about the ongoing situation.
“We wish complete safety for all residents in the affected areas,” the statement read, reaffirming the government’s commitment to providing comprehensive support to manage the crisis effectively.
Libya has been in chaos since a NATO-backed uprising toppled longtime leader Muammar Gaddafi in 2011. The county has for years been split between rival administrations.
