On Thursday, the Ministry of Health of the Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA), said that air and sea bridges had been established with France, Belgium and Turkey. This is to ensure the orderly supply of medical supplies, via aircraft and cargo ships.

This comes within the framework of “strengthening the state’s strategic stockpile of various medical supplies, in response to COVID-19”, the Ministry said in a statement.

The Ministry has received tons of medical supplies, including various medical equipment, personal protective equipment for health workers, disinfectants, sterilizers, supplies, and medicines.

On Friday, the Ministry announced the arrival of a shipment of DNA-extraction kits to Misrata International Airport. This represents “stocks for the 20 testing laboratories, throughout Libya for a period of six months,” according to the Ministry.
