Aliou Cisse has announced Libya’s national team squad for the upcoming March 2026 international break, as preparations begin for two friendly matches against the Niger national team and the Liberia national team.
The Libyan team will face Niger on March 27, followed by a second friendly against Liberia on March 31, as part of a training camp aimed at strengthening team cohesion and testing tactical options ahead of future competitive fixtures.
The squad reflects a balanced mix of domestic league talent and internationally based players, highlighting the coaching staff’s focus on building a competitive and versatile team.
In goal, Murad Al-Wuhaishi of Al Ahli Benghazi, Mohamed Ayad from Al Ittihad, and Jawad Rizq of Al Nasr Benghazi have been selected, with strong competition expected for the starting position.
The defensive line includes experienced and emerging players, notably Ali Youssef of FC Nantes, alongside Muhannad Eto (Al Nasr Benghazi), Ibrahim Aburois and Moataz Al-Jarnazi (Al Madina), Juma Abu Raqiqa (Al Ahli Benghazi), and Saif Jadur (Al Suwaihli).
In midfield, the squad is led by Muatasim Al Musrati, currently playing for Hellas Verona. He is joined by Bashir Al-Habishi (Al Ahli Tripoli), Abdulmonem Okasha and Amjad Al-Ghishim (Al Suwaihli), Osama Al-Shreimi of Club Africain, Farouq Al Falith (Al Madina), and Omar Al-Harak, who plays in Scotland.
Up front, the attack features key names including Ismael Tajouri and Ezzedine Al-Marimi (Al Ahli Tripoli), as well as Ahmed Al-Mesmari of CD Leganes B and Mohamed Bawa from GAIS.
