The Chief of Staff of Libya’s Ground Forces, Major General Abdul Salam Al-Hassi, chaired an expanded meeting at the Ground Forces Headquarters in Benghazi to review administrative performance and discuss measures aimed at improving operational efficiency across the military body.
According to an official statement, the meeting brought together department directors and heads of divisions as part of ongoing efforts to monitor workflow and assess the performance of departments and units affiliated with the Ground Forces Command.
Discussions focused on a range of issues related to administrative organisation, strengthening coordination between departments and divisions, and improving institutional performance to ensure assigned duties are carried out in line with official directives and military instructions.
The meeting comes amid broader efforts by eastern Libyan military institutions to improve internal administrative structures, enhance readiness, and streamline coordination among various branches of the armed forces.
At the conclusion of the meeting, personnel from the Ground Forces Headquarters presented a commemorative shield to Major General Al-Hassi in recognition of his appointment as Chief of Staff of the Ground Forces and in appreciation of his continued service to Libya’s military establishment.
The appointment of Al-Hassi and the latest administrative meeting reflect ongoing restructuring efforts within the Libyan military leadership as eastern-based armed forces continue seeking greater organisational efficiency and institutional development.
