A young Libyan man, identified as Mohamed Al-Seddik Kreid, has reportedly been kidnapped while travelling along the coastal road between the Maya and Judayem areas, west of Tripoli.
According to local reports, the group٧ holding Kreid later contacted his father and informed him that his son was being held captive in Zawiya.
The alleged kidnappers demanded that the family pay a ransom in exchange for his release and safe return.
No information has been released regarding the amount demanded, the identity of the kidnappers, or the circumstances surrounding the abduction.
Libyan authorities have not yet issued an official statement confirming the incident or announcing whether an investigation or security operation has been launched to locate Kreid and secure his release.
The reported kidnapping has renewed concerns over abductions and ransom-related crimes in and around Zawiya, where residents have repeatedly called for stronger security measures and greater efforts to combat armed criminal groups.
