A Libyan bodybuilding champion, Kamal Elgargni, won the second place at the 212th division of this year’s Mr. Olympia, thus gaining the silver medal and a prize of $20,000.

Elgargni has been named as the runner up in the contest, which is the most competitive international championship for bodybuilding. Mr. Olympia was held at the Orange County Convention Centre in Orlando, Florida.

Elgargni won the first place in 2019 at the same championship and has said he hopes to repeat his victory in the next years.

In a post on his Instagram account, the athlete was dubbed by his followers as “The Lion of Libya”. Elgargni also thanked his fans for their devoted support and promised to go back next year to take his 1st place back.

The American bodybuilder, Shaun Clarida, claimed the first place and a prize of $50,000 this year. When Elgargni won in the 2019 event, Clarida won the second place.

Mr. Olympia is an international bodybuilding competition that is held annually in the United States, where bodybuilders around the world compete for cash prizes and the title of Mr. Olympia, as well as various other divisions including the 212th and the classic physique.
