On Monday, the South Korean Corporation for the Administration of Incheon Port announced that Libya has become the top importer of used South Korean cars.

The Yonhap news agency reported the export of cars decreased by 17.5% from last year, with only 346,680 vehicles exported from the country. This is due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Car exports to the Middle East, which is the greatest importer of Korean vehicles have gradually recovered since the second half of 2020. Libya was reported as the largest importer of these used vehicles with 102,000 vehicles imported. About 90% of South Korea’s total used cars are exported through the port of Incheon.
