On Monday, Libya’s National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) announced that the total number of active COVID-19 cases in Libya has declined to 10,492, with 126,000 successful recoveries.

The NCDC said in a statement that 1,036 people made a full recovery in the last 24 hours, while recording 1,018 positive cases, and 15 deaths. It stressed that the epidemiological situation in the country was stable.

Libya has contracted to buy 2.8 million doses of a vaccine, at a value of 42 million Libyan dinars.
The Head of the “Supreme Committee for Vaccinations” Suleiman Abusriwil said that the first batch of vaccines estimated at 1 million doses is set to arrive in March. He added that this batch includes 55,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, and more than 900,000 doses of the “Oxford” AstraZeneca vaccine.
