Libya’s Interim Government Extends Curfew

Major Magdi Al-Urfi, the official spokesman for the Supreme Committee to Combat Coronavirus, stated that the government curfew has been extended for another week from April 15th until April 22nd.

The Ministry of Interior of the Interim Government issued the extension, although the curfew has been shortened to 12 hours beginning at 7 p.m. until 7 a.m.

On Monday, the National Center for Disease Control reported a new COVID-19 patient, bringing the total confirmed cases to 26, including one death and nine recoveries.

Both Libyan governments have taken several precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
