On Friday, Benina International Airport received a shipment of personal protective equipment from China, to combat the global COVID-19 pandemic, according to a statement issued by the Libyan Medical Supplies Authority.

The Authority thanked the Prime Minister of the Interim Government, for facilitating the transportation of the shipment, as well as the management of Benina International Airport, the Food and Drug Control Center, and all who contributed to facilitating its arrival.

In April, Tripoli’s Mitiga International Airport received a shipment of medical equipment from China. “The shipment comes within the framework of the Foreign Ministry’s efforts in coordination with the Health Ministry and the crisis committee,” the Foreign Ministry stated.
