Tunisian President Qais Saeed stressed the need to find a solution to the Libyan crisis within the international framework, without external interference.

Simultaneously, Algerian President Abdel Majid Tebboune called on international actors to respect domestic voices in Libya.

According to a statement by the Algerian presidency, Tebboune had received a phone call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss the Libyan situation.

The two presidents discussed the latest development in Libya, agreeing to intensify efforts to impose a ceasefire as a necessary step to facilitate a political solution to the crisis.

They also discussed bilateral relations and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, Tunisian President Saeed had said that there could only be a peaceful, Libyan-Libyan solution that is supported by the international community.

He stressed that Tunisia was one of the countries most affected by Libya’s situation.
