The city of Al-Zawiya hosted, on Thursday, the Cultural Forum for Libya’s youth under the theme “Youth for Building and Reform, Not Wars.”

The event brought together young participants from across Libya’s cities and regions, including political activists, several mayors from the western region, and faculty members from Libyan universities.

The forum also featured the participation of prominent poets from both western and southern Libya, along with representatives from the Libyan Red Crescent.

Speakers at the event praised the vital role of young people in nation-building, stressing the importance of supporting and empowering them to play an active role in all aspects of public life.

Discussions during the forum highlighted the need to open new opportunities for youth in training, skills development, and employment in the civilian sector. Participants also called for improving the quality of education, healthcare, security, and all essential public services.

The Cultural Forum aims to strengthen cultural exchange among Libya’s youth and provide a space for expressing ideas and sharing experiences. Organizers hope the initiative will promote a culture of dialogue and peace, and help drive development efforts across the country.
