Algeria Calls For Lasting Political Solution In Libya

On Sunday, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on regional and international actors to coordinate their efforts to find a lasting political settlement in Libya.

The statement pointed out that Algeria had recently made such efforts at various levels to achieve a political settlement. This would begin with a ceasefire as well as a return to political dialogue, the statement read.

Algeria called for the warring parties to be brought together, in order to reach a comprehensive political solution in accordance with international legitimacy and UNSC resolutions.
