The Libyan Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Abdullah Al-Sharif Arhouma held talks with CLS Learning Solutions in the Egyptian capital, Cairo. The discussions focused on fostering collaborative efforts in training and development sectors.
According to the Ministry’s media office, Minister Arhouma explored the possibility of bringing international trainers and experts from the Arab Republic of Egypt to Libya. The goal is to enhance and train the ministry’s staff with professionalism and to introduce modern systems and platforms in the ministry’s information technology management.
During the meeting held on Wednesday, Minister Arhouma received detailed presentations on the company’s program for selecting and filtering trainees designated for international training. This involves conducting tests through an international information network.
Furthermore, the Minister outlined the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation’s strategic five-year plan, developed in cooperation with Libyan experts and a committee of Jordanian consultants. This comprehensive plan includes multiple files, eight of which have been completed out of fourteen, with ongoing efforts to finalize the remaining ones.
During his official visit to the company, Minister Arhouma toured the training facilities where he received extensive briefings on the various training programs offered by the company across multiple fields.
The company’s board of directors and president commended Minister Arhouma’s efforts in elevating the ministry’s standards in training and qualifying job seekers both domestically and internationally. They praised his commitment to creating genuine employment opportunities in the public and private sectors, his support for youth, and his persistent endeavors to provide high-quality training opportunities.
This meeting marks a pivotal step towards enhancing the capabilities of Libyan workers and boosting employment opportunities through high-level training initiatives.
Earlier this month, a delegation from the Libyan Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy of the Parliament-designated government is currently on an official visit to Egypt. Their agenda is focused on initiating discussions with the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity regarding the sale of energy within the framework of an African organization that includes Libya.
In a statement, the Libyan ministry stated that the delegation comprises Khaled Al-Agouri and Ashraf Masoud, who are part of the Energy Marketing Committee of the African organization. Their primary objective is to set the groundwork for a marketplace for energy sales among the organization’s member states.
The Meetings were held with Gaber El Desouki, the head of the Egyptian Electric Holding Company, and his deputy, Mohamed El Sisi, to deliberate on the practical steps required to kickstart this ambitious energy market initiative.
