Khalifa Rajab Abdelsadiq, Libya’s Acting Minister of Oil and Gas from the Government of National Unity (GNU), participated in the Gastech 2024 Conference and Exhibition held in Houston, Texas, from September 17 to 20, 2024. The event brought together global energy leaders to discuss the future of gas and sustainable energy technologies.

As part of the conference, Minister Abdelsadiq participated in a ministerial roundtable titled “Policy Innovation for Enabling Decarbonization,” which explored ways to overcome investment challenges and ensure a fair energy transition.

On the sidelines of the event, the Libyan minister held bilateral meetings with Turkish Minister of Energy Alparslan Bayraktar and Jeffrey Pyatt, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources, to discuss potential cooperation in the fields of oil, gas, and renewable energy.

Gastech, now in its 52nd year, serves as a crucial platform for the natural gas and sustainable technology industries, with a special focus this year on energy security and sustainability challenges.
