On Thursday. Libya’s Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ageela Saleh, met with Belgassim Khalifa Haftar, the Director-General of the Libyan Development and Reconstruction Fund, to review the nation’s ongoing and future rebuilding efforts.
The meeting focused on the fund’s strategic role in revitalizing key cities, including Derna and Benghazi, while addressing reconstruction needs across other regions of the country.
Haftar provided an update on the fund’s progress, emphasizing its commitment to meeting established timelines and delivering projects that align with Libya’s broader development objectives. The agenda also included discussions about upcoming initiatives supported by agreements with foreign companies, reflecting Libya’s growing emphasis on international cooperation in its recovery journey.
