Libya’s Embassy in Amman has announced a decision by Prime Minister Abdel-Hamid Dbaiba regarding entry visas for Jordanian citizens. The move follows a reciprocity principle, ensuring parity with Libyan citizens entering Jordan.

Under the new mechanism, Jordanians can apply for Libyan visas via approved e-visa platforms or upon arrival at border crossings and Libyan airports.

The embassy affirmed its readiness to assist Jordanian citizens with inquiries about travel procedures.

The announcement follows Jordan’s decision in October to allow Libyan citizens to enter without prior approvals or visas. Libyans can now obtain visas electronically or upon arrival at Jordanian border points.

In a related development, Royal Jordanian Airlines resumed flights to Tripoli after a decade-long hiatus.

The airline now operates three weekly flights to the Libyan capital and plans to launch three weekly flights to Benghazi soon.

The airline expressed optimism about boosting trade and tourism between Jordan and Libya, particularly in the field of medical tourism.
