Russian Ambassador to Cairo: “We do not intend to establish a military base in Libya”

Russian Ambassador to Egypt, Georgy Borisenko, announced that Russia does not intend to establish a military base in Libya. He stressed that no such requests have been sent to any Libyan authorities.

“Russia does not have such plans. No requests have been made by the Russian side to the Libyan authorities to establish any military base, or naval base,” Borisenko said in a media statement according to ‘Sputnik’.
