Mohamed Al Mnifi, President of Libya’s Presidential Council, called for a unified Arab stance against any attempt to displace Palestinians from their land.

Speaking at the emergency Arab summit on Gaza in Cairo, he urged Arab nations to reject all plans aimed at forcing Palestinians to leave their homes or evacuating Gaza’s population under any pretext.

He stressed that the summit must result in a clear, strong Arab position that reflects the region’s shared responsibility toward Palestine. He warned that any attempt to forcibly relocate Gaza’s residents is a direct violation of international law, humanitarian values, and Arab and Islamic unity. He emphasized that the world has already spoken, with millions protesting globally to show their support for Palestine.

Al Mnifi called for urgent Arab-led action to move toward the next phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

Al Mnifi also highlighted key priorities, including halting Israeli aggression, securing the release of hostages and detainees, ensuring humanitarian aid access, and beginning the reconstruction of Gaza. He made it clear that rebuilding Gaza must be led by Arab nations, with support from the international community.

He praised Egypt and Qatar for their diplomatic efforts in securing the ceasefire and urged continued engagement to push for a lasting resolution.

The Libyan leader reaffirmed Libya’s historic and unwavering commitment to Palestine, reminding the summit that Libyans stood with Palestine long before Libya became a sovereign state.

He ended with a firm statement: Palestine’s rights are not up for negotiation. Arab support will continue until Palestinians achieve full sovereignty and international recognition of their state.
