The Department for Combating Illegal Migration in Benghazi has announced the implementation of new regulatory measures during the Eid Al-Adha holiday to maintain public order and ensure the comfort of local citizens throughout the celebrations.

According to an official statement, migrants are strictly prohibited from accessing the Benghazi Corniche and other public areas designated for family recreation during the Eid period. The department also confirmed a broader ban on the mixing of migrants with families in parks, streets, and all public spaces typically used for leisure during the holiday.

Security patrols will be deployed across both public and semi-private areas to enforce the new rules and safeguard public security throughout the festive period.

The head of the department expressed gratitude to the General Command of the Libyan National Army, the Ministry of Interior, and all cooperating security agencies for their ongoing support. He reaffirmed that operations would continue in full compliance with national laws and regulations to manage the presence of irregular migrants and maintain public order.

These measures reflect growing efforts by local authorities to tighten controls over public spaces during high-traffic occasions, particularly in cities experiencing high numbers of irregular migrants.
