The Libyan Embassy in Cairo has announced the successful disbursement of student grants for Libyan nationals studying in Egypt for the first quarter of 2025.
In an official statement, the Embassy confirmed that the grant payments were deposited into the accounts of eligible students who are enrolled in Egyptian universities under state sponsorship.
The announcement followed a meeting between Libya’s Ambassador Abdulmutalib Thabet—who is also the Acting Head of Mission and Libya’s Permanent Representative to the Arab League—and the President of the Libyan Students’ Union in Egypt. The discussions focused on the students’ academic situation and addressed several financial concerns facing them.
The Embassy emphasized that this step is part of its ongoing commitment to ensuring the uninterrupted educational journey of Libyan students abroad. By facilitating timely financial support, the Embassy aims to eliminate obstacles that may hinder their academic progress.
“This timely disbursement reflects the Embassy’s responsibility to the Libyan student community in Egypt and its efforts to provide them with a stable environment conducive to learning,” the statement read.
The initiative reinforces Libya’s dedication to investing in its youth and ensuring their academic advancement, especially for those studying in regional educational hubs like Egypt.
