Libyan Authorities Denounce Strike on Doha

The Libyan government has strongly condemned the attack that targeted residential areas in the Katara district of Doha, describing it as a cowardly act of aggression with no legal or humanitarian justification. The statement stressed that the assault represents a direct threat to the lives and safety of civilians.

In an official communiqué, the government reaffirmed its unwavering solidarity with the State of Qatar, pledging full support for all measures Doha takes to safeguard its sovereignty and protect its citizens.

The statement further noted that the attack constitutes a blatant violation of international law and a clear breach of the United Nations Charter and related conventions. It described the incident as an unacceptable act of aggression that runs counter to fundamental humanitarian and legal principles.

The Libyan government also renewed its call on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to assume full responsibility in addressing such violations, ensuring the protection of civilians, and safeguarding the sovereignty of nations. It warned that the continuation of such hostile acts would undermine the prospects for achieving just and comprehensive peace in the region.
