Libya’s eastern-based government has signed a cooperation agreement with Belarus aimed at developing long-term collaboration in the field of security media. The agreement, announced Saturday, is designed to enhance crisis communication, exchange expertise, and modernize the way security institutions engage with the public.

The deal was signed between Mohamed Abu Lmosha, head of the Security Media Office at Libya’s Ministry of Interior, and Natalia Janusevich, head of the Belarusian Security Media Office. Both parties emphasized that the agreement marks a significant turning point in strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing institutional capacities.

According to Abu Lmosha, the meeting included a comprehensive presentation of the achievements and work methods of both countries’ security media offices. The Belarusian delegation shared its advanced approach to running public awareness campaigns, crisis communication strategies, and the use of technology to deliver official messages.

The agreement highlights cooperation in key areas such as media coverage of security operations, managing sensitive information during crises, and integrating new technologies into security-related communications. Each side also presented real-world examples of effective media campaigns, offering a platform to learn from one another’s experiences.

Abu Lmosha described the agreement as “a qualitative leap” for Libya’s security media strategy, adding that practical exchanges, joint workshops, and training programs will soon follow.
