Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, Ageela Saleh, conducted an extensive inspection tour of Benghazi’s ongoing development projects on Monday, accompanied by Prime Minister of the Libyan Government-designate, Osama Hammad, and the General Manager of the Reconstruction and Development Fund, Engineer Belqasem Haftar. The visit came as part of a continuous follow-up on the country’s national reconstruction drive.
During the tour, Saleh reviewed the latest progress made across several sites and praised the tangible efforts of the Reconstruction and Development Fund in restoring urban vitality and improving infrastructure across Libya. He emphasized that the Fund’s active and direct supervision reflects a strong commitment to achieving quality implementation and efficiency on the ground.
The Speaker highlighted that the remarkable advancement witnessed in the projects demonstrates effective management and dedication within the Fund, stressing the need to maintain the current momentum to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development throughout Libya.
Saleh also extended his appreciation to Prime Minister Osama Hammad and his government for their ongoing support and facilitation of development projects, noting that the close cooperation between the House of Representatives and the government remains crucial for Libya’s stability and progress.
The inspection tour covered several key sites in Benghazi, including Benghazi University, road expansion projects, bridges, and public facilities—representing a new phase of urban revival across the city.
